Graduated in 1990 from South China Normal University with a Master’s degree in Education Technology of Television
1990–2002: Lecturer, Department of Education Technology, Fujian Normal University
2008–2017: Lecturer of Automotive Electronics at polytechnics in New Zealand and at TAFE (Perth, Melbourne, Australia)
2017–2019: Assisted in photography work
2019–present: Senior lecturer at the New Zealand Institute of Skills & Technology, Manukau Campus, Auckland
Since 2017, co-managing Xinyan Photography Studio in Auckland

Yanhong Zhang

Started portrait photography in 1991 and still operates a photography studio and team in China.
2004–2005: Attended several international photography conferences and exhibitions in Seoul, South Korea
2006: Participated in the 49th Awards Conference of the Photo Artists Society of Korea (PASK) in Gyeongju
2007: Represented China as the only children’s photographer in the delegation at the PSA Conference in San Antonio, USA
Since 2013: Traveled to over 40 countries as a travel photographer, capturing images of tens of thousands of children
2019: Honored as one of the Top Ten Portrait Photographers in China
August 2019: Founded Xinyan Photography Studio in Auckland, New Zealand
